「サイクル空間」

通勤用自転車としてBD-1はやはりいいなと思う。工業デザインではドイツ製は魅力的なものを作るなとつくづく思わせる。折り畳むと駅のロッカーに入るというコンセプトで、パナソニックとJR東日本が共同開発した折り畳み式自転車トレンクル7500も自転車の楽しみを広げた自転車として懐かしい。それに6.5kgと7.5kgのモデルがありナント言っても軽い。Peugeot Pacific-18とR&MBD-1の違いはＢＤ−１(９段変速、スタンドが別売り、ベルと反射板がついている、サドルがＶＥＲＯ) プジョーパシフィック１８(８段変速、スタンドつき、ベルと反射板がついていない、プジョーの革サドル、カラーが豊富）だそうである。
Eｎｔｅｒｔａｉｎｎｍｅｎｔ Ｖｅｈｉｃｌｅ「2000 JAPAN CYCLE SHOW」に参考出品されたsonyの折り畳み自転車.同社のウォークマンでのスタミナバッテリーやVAIOの外装アルミ-マグネシウム合金の外装等の技術を集めて製作されている.（http://www.bc-orion.com/tpc-2000show-etc.html）春になったら自転車+電車通勤はいいかもしれない。現場にしても自転車通勤はいいかもしれない。たまに帰宅時いつものルートを大幅にはずれて住宅街を走ると住宅のファサードなどの新しい発見があったりする（夜だけにライトアップの発見が多いが）。

The unique feature of the Birdy is the double function of the rear swing arm pivot point. This eliminates the need for a joint being required in the main frame. It is easy to transport and stow away thanks to its simple and quick folding mechanism (approx. 15 sec.), small dimensions when folded (app. 79 x 61 x 36 cm), and light weight (approx. 10.5 kg). It can be easily taken along when traveling by bus, train, boat or plane. Over the years, Birdy has established itself as "the" folding bike of choice, and is sold not only in Europe but also in America, Australia and Japan.
