「apple建築」

銀座のapple-storeのデザインはBohlin Cywinski Jackson(http://www.bcj.com/)が基本設計をしたようである。
建物自体は三井住友銀行銀座通り支店があったサヱグサ本館ビル(1967年竣工)を立て替えることなく
耐震補強、内装・外装改修し地上8階、地下1階としている。
彼らは銀座の他にもNYのSOHO、ChicagoのNorth Michigan AvenueのApple Storeもデザインしている。
銀座店は現在のマックの本体の路線、アルミ素材を生かした空間になっている。
エレベーター内部に各階ボタンが無く作動してるのが面白かった。
SOHO展は内観だけのデザインにとどまっており、中でもshopの真ん中にあるガラスで出来た階段が特徴的で一世代前の透明感あるマックのデザインに共通していた。
SOHOを歩いていてふと賑やかな店を感じて入ったのがたまたまApple Storeだった。
銀座の全面的なApple Storeビルとは違ったこじんまりとした店構えがとても良かったのを覚えている。
